Mural to Honor Former First Lady Frances Wolf Seeks Your Experience with Food Insecurity

by | Jan 30, 2024

The Cultural Alliance of York County and the York County Economic Alliance announce a new public art mural that will feature six artists and will be designed using the direct experiences of York residents with food insecurity and pantry programs.

Led by artist Ophelia Chambliss, the mural design will be based on the submitted experiences of children, young adults, families, and seniors in York County that have experienced food insecurity in their lives. Their words and experiences will be given to six local artists who will incorporate their anonymous feedback into the final design.  The mural is being created to honor the work of former First Lady of Pennsylvania Frances Wolf and her efforts to address food insecurity across the state for PA families.
