The Cultural Alliance of York County will host Make Music Day on June 21st, with over 70 musical events across York County. Whether kids or adults, professionals or amateurs, everyone can make music this Friday. Know what to expect with the details below.
Make Music Day has 4 central daytime locations in Downtown York!
Each central location will have a drinking water station thanks to York Water Company. Check the full event listings on the website for the full list of performers at each location.
-Continental Square from 11-5pm
-Cherry Lane Park from 10-4pm
– Jim Gross Park (formerly Lincoln Park) from 11:30-2 and 4-7pm
– WellSpan Park Plaza prior to the York Revolution Baseball Game, 4-6pm
Don’t Miss the Kazoo Parade
Gather with the community in Continental Square at 4:30pm to play “When the Saints Go Marching” in as part of our Kazoo Parade. All instruments welcome to play along in the key of F. Kazoos will be provided to anyone without an instrument. Parade will conclude at the WellSpan Park Plaza with a performances by the Temple Guard.
Keep the Party Going at WellSpan Park
Arrive early to the Revolution game to enjoy performances, and get your free “Have it Made Here” Kazoo thanks to Explore York. Participate in the custom jersey auction fundraiser, crowd karaoke, and more. The custom jersey for Make Music Night is based on the painting “Footloose” by Biruta Hansen, which was based itself, on the song “Guadalajara”.
