YORK, PA – Registration is now open for participation in Make Music Day, York County on Saturday, June 21st, 2025. For the 4th year in a row, York County will join over 125 countries worldwide for the largest single-day music event since its beginnings in 1982 in France. Make Music Day, coordinated in the U.S. by the Make Music Day Foundation, is an inclusive DIY festival encouraging musicians, producers, promoters and music lovers to collaborate, and to organize in-person and online music performances in their communities.
Music has been shown to strengthen social connectivity, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, stimulate memory, and is integral to a well-rounded, enjoyable life. The Cultural Alliance of York County invites everyone from professional musicians to people who have never picked up an instrument to join in the global music celebration!
Get Involved: Registration is open now for organizations, musicians, and venues who would like to participate in Make Music Day. Visit www.makemusicday.org/yorkcounty and create an account and register as a venue or a musician. Anyone can lead or host an event! Make Music Day encourages the community leader in all of us to bring music into your neighborhood. Participate by registering your neighborhood park, healthcare facility, storefront, or anywhere with space to set up and make noise. Additional ideas for types of events are available on the website.
