‘I Voted’ Sticker Design Contest Launches for York County Students
Contest Open to York County Students in Grades K-12

YORK, Pa. –  For the second consecutive year, York County students have an opportunity to leave their creative mark on the county’s upcoming elections, as the ‘I Voted’ sticker design contest officially kicks off today.

The contest is jointly offered by the Cultural Alliance of York County and the County of York as a way to engage York County students in grades K-12 in the importance of exercising the right to vote. Last year, more than 200 students submitted their designs for the inaugural contest.

“This is a fun way to get our young people interested and engaged in voting, while at the same time bringing some creative York County energy to the polls on Election Day,” said York County Commissioner President Julie Wheeler. “We’re building a better, brighter York County – and that starts with our youngest generations. I can’t wait to see all those designs from all those creative minds.”

The Cultural Alliance of York is accepting sticker design entries from students beginning at noon today, March 17 through noon May 30, 2025. Contest guidelines and submission forms may be found online at culturalyork.org. Submissions may be emailed to kelley@culturalyork.org or mailed to Cultural Alliance of York County, 2536 Eastern Blvd., PMB 402, York, PA 17402.

A committee of local educators and artists will choose one winning design from each of three age groups: kindergarten through fifth grade, sixth through eighth grades, and ninth through 12th grades. Each winning design will be produced into commemorative 2-inch “I Voted” stickers, which will be given to York County residents who cast their ballots in the 2025 General Election and the 2026 Primary Election.

Winners of the art contest will be announced at the York Revolution home game on July 29, 2025, with each winner receiving free game tickets for themselves and their family members.  Winners will also receive gift certificates from local businesses, including four tickets to attend a future York Revolution home game.

“The arts have always been a conduit to bring people from different backgrounds and views together,” said Kelley Gibson, president of the Cultural Alliance of York County. “With this contest, we want to tap into that creative spirit to remind all York Countians of the importance of exercising their right to vote.”
