The Cultural Alliance of York County and the County of York Announce “I Voted” Sticker Contest
York, PA – The Cultural Alliance of York County and the County of York are offering York County students in grades K-12 the opportunity to design York’s “I Voted!” stickers to be used in the November 5, 2024 Presidential General Election and the 2025 Primary Election.
Entries will be accepted from 12:00 pm on February 6, 2024, through 12:00 pm April 30, 2024. A committee of local educators and artists will choose one winning design from each age group that will be produced into the commemorative 2-inch “I Voted” stickers given to York County residents casting ballots in the 2024 General Election and the 2025 Primary Election.
The three winners will be announced at the June 21st “Make Music Day” celebration taking place prior to the York Revolution home game against the Lancaster Barnstormers at WellSpan Park in York. Winners will also receive gift certificates from local businesses, including 4 tickets to attend a York Revolution home game.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our future voters across York County to display their artistic talent and learn about the election process,” stated York County President Commissioner Julie Wheeler. “This contest will also bring some fun and creativity to the election process.”
“The arts have always been a conduit to bring people from different backgrounds and views together,” added Kelley Gibson, President of the Cultural Alliance of York County. “We looked around the country and saw how the “I Voted” sticker contest in other communities has really united residents and added fun into their elections. We are proud to partner with the County of York to bring the sticker contest here and highlight the artwork of future York voters.”
Submission form and directions can be downloaded here: CAYC I Voted Submission Form 2024, or in person at the Grotto Community Co-Working space located at 2 West Market Street, 2nd floor in downtown York.
