York, PA – The Cultural Alliance of York County is pleased kick of National Arts and Humanities month by announcing the 9 finalists for the 2022 Artist Innovator Award. Two award winners will be chosen from the finalists to receive an unrestricted cash award of $10,000 each. This annual award celebrates the high-level of creative talent that exists in York County, PA.
The 2022 Artist Innovator Award finalists are:
- Troy Engle – Music
- Paul Wykowski – Music
- Doug Henderson – Film/Video
- Joshua Santiago – Film/Video
- Christina Myers – Performing Arts
- Rob Evans – Visual Art
- Justine Ekstrom – Visual Art
- Jay Rock – Visual Art
- Carla Christopher – Literary
A panel of three, multi-disciplinary artist from outside of York County will select the two winners from the finalists. The winners will be announced at an in-person event on October 20th as part of the Cultural Alliance’s annual “Artober York” online day of giving.
Artists working in any medium and who live in York County were invited to create a profile of their work on the arts and culture website, York365.com. Profiles created by the deadline on August 31st were scored by peer reviewers from around the country.
