York, PA – The Cultural Alliance of York County is pleased to announce their new Development Director, Amy Spellman. Amy comes to the Cultural Alliance with nearly 15 years of development and leadership experience for organizations in Lancaster, Millersville, Philadelphia and New York City. She will begin her tenure as the Cultural Alliance Development Director in January, 2025.
As the Director of Fundraising & Community Partnership at HDC MidAtlantic, a non-profit based in Lancaster dedicated to creating affordable housing, Amy designed the development department and oversaw an annual fundraising campaign that raised $1 million in grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donors.
Prior to HDC MidAtlantic, Amy was a Major Gift Officer for Millersville University, raising $500,000 from donors and was instrumental in goal setting, design, and execution of three-year, $32 million capital campaign.
Amy received her Bachelor of Arts in History from Saint Joseph’s University in December 2003, and graduated with a Master of Arts in International Studies at the University of Denver in 2010. She lives in Lancaster City and when not at work enjoys time in her gardens with her two children, on her yoga mat, hiking, or sharing good food with great friends.
