For the past twenty years, we’ve worked to strengthen organizations and inspire residents across York County. Looking to the future, we’re focusing in on what’s valuable to you and to our arts community to ensure they are sustainable for the next twenty years and beyond.
In the nineteen years since the corporate leaders of York County established the Cultural Alliance to raise funds for our essential arts and culture organizations, we’ve invested more than $10.4 million in cash and $2.2 million in in-kind support in the arts serving over 286,889 residents of our region last year alone –75,414 of them children.
The Cultural Alliance has changed since first opening its doors in 1999. We’ve moved from simply sustaining cultural organizations to focusing on strengthening our community through grantmaking. And, as we approach our 20th anniversary and look to the next 20 years, we need to know what our community needs in order to keep leading that charge and connecting residents to thousands of arts and cultural experiences each year. You can find our research, key findings, and action plan for 2020 at www.future-culturalyork.org
To transform the Cultural Alliance into a more inclusive organization that serves all of our arts and culture community in 2020 and beyond, we will need each and every one of you. Our donors, supporters, volunteers, and partners will be crucial in ensuring that all voices of our community are heard. We’ve created a listening site where our community can contribute to the conversation at future-culturalyork.org.
