Artist Grant Awardees Announced

York, PA – The Cultural Alliance of York County is pleased to announce the most recent recipients of the Artist Professional Development Grant. This grant provides financial resources to creatives in York County to do the work they are passionate about, and take the next step in their practice or career.

The recipients of the Artist Professional Development Grant in the 4th Quarter of 2021 are:

  • Judy Grupp – For the creation of a portable home studio as a covid-friendly adaptation to her practice and create a body of work and art show to boost the visibility of colored-pencil artists.
  • Annelise Vuono – To purchase high quality, art-related merchandise and booth rental space in shops to bolster income from her art while transitioning to running her creative small business full-time.

A total of $20,000 has been awarded directly to creative entrepreneurs and artists in York County in 2021.  A full list of awardees including their websites and contact information can be found at www.culturalyork.org

Applications for Artist Professional Development Grants will reopen in mid-October for the 2022 fiscal year.  Questions can be directed toward Rita Whitney at Rita@culturalyork.org.

Founded as a United Arts Fund in 1999, the Cultural Alliance’s annual campaign currently supports arts organizations and artists that are essential to arts and culture in our community and over the last 20 years has invested over $11.2 million in cash and $2.5 million in in-kind support for the arts.   Through critical operational grants, the Cultural Alliance is the lifeline for arts and culture in York County.
