The Cultural Alliance of York County is committed to creating community, energizing neighborhoods and inspiring children through the arts, history, and culture. The Alliance is dedicated to promoting and supporting York’s creative community.

Greater York Dance – provides dance education to more than 500 people per year. Also home of the Greater York Youth Ballet which focuses on training classical ballet dancers.

The Appell Center for the Performing Arts – provides quality entertainment for diverse audiences and encourages involvement in the arts through a variety of educational programs. With two restored theatres and an extensive number of live productions and films each season, it is the leading presenter of the performing arts in south-central Pennsylvania.

York Art Association – is a visual arts organization founded in 1905 by a group of local artists with the goal of encouraging and developing an interest in the creation and appreciation of the visual arts. The facilities include a gallery, classroom studio and ample parking.

York County History Center – is the newest and the largest local heritage organization in central Pennsylvania. Whether you are interested in American or Industrial Revolution, genealogy or Civil War generals, the Trust has something for you to see and enjoy at its three museum facilities and five historic house museums.

York Junior Symphony Orchestra – was founded to create a symphonic music culture among youths in grades 5 through 8 living in York County. The organization provides moral, financial, and inspirational support to these youths as they perform in a symphonic orchestra.

York Symphony Orchestra – over 75-year history of providing great symphonic music to the citizens of York. Conductor and Music Director, Dr. Robert Hart Baker, is renowned for his ability to lead the region’s finest musicians.

York Youth Symphony Orchestra – provides high school students with the opportunity to play in a symphonic orchestra. The orchestra performs professional scores and has performed at Carnegie Hall during the regular series.

Creative York – Creative Yorks’ mission is to encourage the arts in all disciplines and to provide arts experiences to everyone. It houses a gallery, classrooms, artists’ studios, a pottery studio and hosts poetry readings, camps, gallery exhibits and Girl Scout badge classes.
